Jay Corder Architect
FEATURED PROJECTS
We were tasked with a renovation and remodel of an existing ranch house in Lampasas, TX. (Note: The house was originally designed by Texas architect Franch Welch.)
The team did a lot of "visual listening" to elicit solutions that honor and preserve the spirit of the original residence while upgrading finishes and updating and refining the plan geometry and adjacencies to maximize function and beauty.
Our clients desired a warm, minimalist large-scale home on a sloped lot.
We sited the house to disappear into the landscape with a detached garage concealed with a sodded green roof and a basketball court. This design elegantly used the challenging topography to minimize massing, maximized privacy, and create a warm and minimalist design.

We hired Jay to do a remodel of our home that included a 2nd story. We live in an older neighborhood with homes built in the early 70s. Jay's design fit very well into the current landscape of homes and the addition of the 2nd story did not look like an addition, but part of the original structure. He also had some great ideas that we incorporated into our original plan. We get so many compliments on our house thanks to Jay and his team.

We worked with Jay Corder for over a year, planning, designing and building our custom home. It was a great experience working with him and his staff. Our home is beyond our expectations. It was so helpful to have Jay involved during the building process. He has an eye for detail and knows how to work well with contractors. We highly recommend him.
