Description:
The West 17th residence is a study in contrast and
integration. By providing a clean backdrop to let the
existing house stand proud the addition is at once an
update and anchor to the site. Minimal finishes on the
interior blend with the clean lines of the addition to
integrate old and new. The existing tree canopy is celebrated
both as focal element and virtual roof to the rear lawn
making it a focal, additional living space.
